Si en Angleterre on a tout de même assisté à de grosses annulations (comme le Download ou encore Glastonbury), Boris Johnson s’est voulu rassurant et annoncer qu’à partir du 21 Juin, les contraintes sanitaires allaient s’alléger permettant un retour du live (grâce à un parti sanitaire sur le vaccin en deux temps). Du coup, hop ! Augmentation des ventes de tickets pour le Reading et plus globalement de 600% sur Ticketmaster. En même temps, on devait être au niveau zéro des ventes hein.

“We welcome the roadmap, but the 2021 festival season is not guaranteed. There is still a chance of cancellations.”
Donc bon, on est chauds en Angleterre et ils ont l’avantage de ne pas être coincés avec Zaz ou encore Eddy De Pretto mais rien n’est garanti !
Par exemple, en Espagne, malgré un concert test encourageant, le Primavera est annulé et reporté à 2022.

Aux Pays-Bas, on veut y croire aussi ! Le gouvernement ayant autorisé un retour des festivals à partir du 1er Juillet.

Le pays ayant décidé de se lancer, aussi, dans des tests grandeur nature de festivals avec 3000 personnes. En attendant, c’est méthode Coué à fond les ballons oranges, le directeur du festival Lowlands explique :
« I think the Americans will still have problems, so I doubt they’ll come over. We’ll replace them with English bands, but if they can’t travel due to Brexit then we’ll have to fix it with European acts. If not, then Lowlands can take place with only Dutch or Belgian acts. I’m really confident that in August, Reading & Leeds, Lowlands and Pukkelpop will happen. »
