J’avoue, je ne connaissais pas du tout le collectif musical The Armed ! Il aura donc fallu l’annonce d’un nouvel album faisant apparaitre Mark Lanegan et Troy Van Leuween pour que j’y prête attention. Mes excuses à la Patrie pour ce manque puisque le collectif hardcore va sortir un quatrième album « Ultrapop » le 16 Avril prochain. Ils viennent de balancer un premier single qui fait pas trop dans la dentelle « All Futures » en version live.
Le collectif est actuellement composé de Jonni Randall, Chris Slorach, Dan Greene, Adam Vallely, Dan Stolarski, Clark Huge, Urian Hackney, Ben Koller (oui, Converge) et Cara Drolshagen. Ils en ont donc profité pour convier d’autres personnalités musicales :
- Mark Lanegan (ex-Screaming Trees, etc.)
- Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens Of The Stone Age, Gone Is Gone, etc.)
- Kurt Ballou (Converge)
- Eva Spence (Rolo Tomassi)
