Et oui, aux États-Unis, certains artistes soutiennent que le corinavirus, on s’en bat le prépuce. Ainsi, Eric Clapton a récemment partagé un titre nommé « Stand And Deliver » aux côtés du bluesman Van Morrison et contenant des paroles du type :
« I just wanna do my job/ Playing the blues for my friends/ Magna Carta, Bill of Rights/ The Constitution, what’s it worth? Do you wanna be a free man/ Or do you wanna be a slave?” There’s a generic guitar solo thrown in for good measure, too. »
Autant dire que protéger les gens est apparemment digne d’un État fasciste puisque le terme a tout de même été remplacé dans la chanson par « police state », Van Morrison ayant sorti tout une série de titres anti-confinement. Clapton n’hésitant pas à souligner que son comparse posait les bonnes questions :
« There are many of us who support Van and his endeavors to save live music; he is an inspiration. We must stand up and be counted because we need to find a way out of this mess. The alternative is not worth thinking about. »
Heureusement que tous les mecs blancs de plus de 70 ans ne sont pas aussi teubés, Iggy Pop (Big boss du cool) le rappelle de son côté avec une chanson nommée « Dirty Little Virus ».

Pop expliquant :
